What is Alloy
An alloy is a homogenous mixture of two or more metals.

- Duralumin: aluminium, copper, magnesium and manganese. It is light as well as strong.
- Magnalium : aluminium and magnesium.
- Amalgam: an alloy of mercury with one or more other metals. It is used by dentist for filling of gaps.
- Bronze: alloy of copper and tin. It is tough and resistant to corrosion. It is used to make statue, coins etc.
- Brass: alloy of Cu and Zn. It is used for nut, bolts, wire, etc.
- Solder: alloy of lead and tin used for welding.
